I Crave Dignity for all

I Crave Dignity for all – Five Minute Friday

Can’t resist – I found 5 minutes and the word is CRAVE.

Oh that word used to mean that I wanted something myself. I would crave recognition. I would crave friends.

Thankfully that all changed when I met Jesus – He really showed me that all I needed was to crave a relationship with God and everything else would fall into place. I have more energy, more joy, more peace and more friends. I enjoy every moment of every day wondering where He will lead me, what door He will open up. And if He doesn’t open doors I rest in waiting for that to happen.

crave

This year my craving has turned to love of others. I support two groups, Save the Mothers, with my stuffed dolls to go with my children’s book. And I have been wearing a dress – started yesterday – every day in December to raise awareness and fundraise against #humantrafficking. It is called Dress for Dunamis – Dress for Dignity.

crave

I crave for God to arise and bring justice. I cry out the Psalm 9:18-19.

No longer will the poor be nameless—
no more humiliation for the humble.
Up, God! Aren’t you fed up with their empty strutting?
    Expose these grand pretensions!
Shake them up, God! (from the Message)

crave

I am shouting “Up, God! Expose these perpetrators. Shake them up, God.”

I am praying every day against human trafficking. I am using the 31 day prayer verses from Street Hope. Here is the page.

Here is a video about The Dunamis Foundation. We are fundraising for a shelter and a van. We are wearing a dress every day. Or men are sporting a bow tie. Let’s talk about this.

This is what I CRAVE – justice, safety and dignity for all women. (and men) (tweet this)

Time’s up.

  1. I admire your discipline! I, too, crave a deeper relationship with Jesus, and at the same time I still find that I crave things other than Him. I’m trying to show myself grace, since He is helping me draw nearer to Him day by day.
Peace for your commitment. (And I hope you are in a warm climate.) 🙂
