Sunday Stillness – Acts 10:34-35

These past few months I have been amazed with the community that has been built here and on Twitter. The people I have talked to from all around the world – God has brought us together.

Christians from every race, every nation.

While I am on my blogging holiday (see my last post on Under the Cover of Prayer), I plan to continue with Sunday Stillness Links – maybe not a full post. But I will put up the linky. I plan to continue to use Twitter to reach more Christians and spread His love everywhere.

I am continuing to do the Lenten challenge from Margaret Feinberg, to read through the New Testament. Today’s Scripture comes from Acts 10:34-35:

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favouritism  but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.

I am loving the challenge. I also love how God will wake me up in the middle of the night to read if He feels I won’t make time to do it.

This will be the last day that I allow comments as I am taking them off while I am on blogging holiday. Otherwise I will be tempted to check in.

But anytime please email me at Janis , because I will check and respond to emails.

And this song came to mind from Robin Mark. I heard the Sound of Voices.

I heard the sound of voices, from every tribe and nation
As they were walking, singing songs of deliverance
For going on before them, a little Lamb was leading
And I could hear Him singing songs of deliverance.

Tweetable:

God does not show favouritism. A good lesson for all of us. (tweet this)

And now to Sunday Stillness.

Today is Sunday Stillness

Do you have a Scripture that spoke to you this week? Please link below. If you post to Twitter use #sundaystillness and @authorjaniscox.

Feel free to pin the picture. Follow me at AuthorJanisCox on Pinterest.

And join me on Facebook at AuthorJanisCox.

Read the Sunday Stillness rules if you are new here.

I would appreciate if you would link only about God’s Word. If you have a linky party that’s okay if it is about the same thing. Please no sales or prizes. I want this to be friendly but I must ask you to abide by the rules. Others want to read God’s Word – and that is what I would like the links to be about. I must take down the links that don’t follow the rules. Thanks so much.

Please check out all the places I link to during the week. Thanks to everyone who has joined Sunday Stillness. I do try to get to your posts every week but I admit sometimes I don’t have the time.

  1. Blessings to you, Janis, as you “shut-up” to seek Him! I am looking forward to when you “spring-forth” in due season to share the beauty of the Lord within you learned in your time aside. Joy to you as you seek His face . . .

  3. Lately I have been so grateful for the community of believers. I am thankful for the believers in my family, who have strengthened me through some difficult days. I am thankful for the ladies in my Bible Study, and the Body of Christ at my church, for they have brought encouragement. And, I am also thankful for the blogging friendships that I have made – wonderful people who inspire, challenge, convict, and bless me!

When we all stand together, we all stand stronger on our own.

Have a wonderful *holiday* – GOD BLESS!

    1. Well He did it again last night – and He was right I would NOT have had time to continue to read my Lenten study. Now I am on track again. Praising God.
      Blessings,
      Janis

I love to connect with you.
