God Never Runs Out

As I washed my hands this morning I thought of the liquid soap that flows out of the bottle. I had filled the bottle about 2 weeks ago and it still had lots of soap left. But, in a little while that soap will be gone and I will need to refill the bottle. That reminded me of all the things we have to refill – ink in the printer, stapler, our fridge and freezer, to name a few.

Then I thought about our God – and was reminded of this passage from Ephesians 3: 20-21:

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

God, who is unchangeable, everlasting, full, powerful, never-ending, and eternal, never runs out. He is always with us. That is why we can talk to Him at all times, in every situation, and about every person.

What an amazing feeling! We have a God who never runs out. Then, let’s call upon Him, at all times. Let’s talk to Him as Friend, Comforter, and Leader. We are told:

“Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come” (Revelation 4:8).

Prayer:

Thank You, Father for always being here with us. We acknowledge Your greatness, Your power and Your being Eternal. Help us to come to You – always, with every detail of our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
