Are You Living in the Here?

The word for today is HERE. I am linking to The Gypsy Mama’s Five Minute Fridays.

Here I am. Back from my mission trip to Poland. Whew.

What did I learn?

One thing I learned was to live in the moment – the HERE. Jesus did say, I am – so I know that is exactly where He is – HERE.

When we focus on the past, even on good things, that is not the best. Certainly letting the negatives of the past lay on our hearts is NOT good for us.

When we focus on the future we are not living – we are dreaming and when we get there we have missed all the present times.

So HERE is important. Breathe it in. Celebrate it. Find the gifts that God gives us right now – this moment.

We can minister to others if we live in the HERE because the Holy Spirit leads and guides us in the present. Listen to the call of God and remember to BE.

  2. You’re right about being in the present. I struggle with being in the “here and now” but the Holy Spirit is faithful to nudge me back to the reality of here and now. I love when He catches me and then brings me back. I am glad He hasn’t given up on me. I am a work in progress.

    1. Oh we are so works in progress. I too get out of the present – thinking about what is coming up or dwelling on past mistakes. As Oswald Chambers tells me time and again – KICK it out. Don’t go there. Remain rooted where God is – HERE and now. Thanks for commenting.
