Five Minute Fridays – Rhythm

Five Minute Fridays – Rhythm

Sun Rising by Jake Jacobsen
Thanks to Jake Jacobsen for the wonderful photo.

The words to 10 000 Reasons by Matt Redman flow through my spirit.

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning….

And on that day when my strength is failing,
The end draws near and my time has come.

As I awake and feel the beating of my heart, I sense the rhythm of life. Each moment is a precious gift.

Life – it begins with the first beat
Death – it end with the last beat (tweet this)

The question is what do I do with the beats in between?

The answer is:

Live life as fully as I can.

Live – that’s my word for this year.

I want to soak up each moment. I want to know God as much as I can. I want to see Him as He reveals Himself to me; in nature, in circumstances, and in people.

As I talk to Him, He reveals His rhythm of life. (tweet this)

Wait patiently with Me while I bless you .

Learn to master it [time], or it will be your master (Jesus Calling – June 21).

I see power, peace, potential and possibilities. God is the God of the impossible.

As for me, I look to the Lord for help.
I wait confidently for God to save me,
and my God will certainly hear me (Micah 7:7, NIV).

And I remember that with Him anything is possible.

My time is up. What are your thoughts on the word rhythm? Do any of my words resonate with you?

Here is Matt Redman singing 10 000 Reasons.

  1. God is good. That song came on the minute I started reading this! I have it set up on my ipod – On my list it plays three different times 🙂 This was just beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend 🙂

  2. Living life. It should be so simple, but too often we just exist! I enjoyed reading your thoughts on the Rhythm of life…..visiting from Five Minute Friday.

  3. I really love the word you chose for the year, live. It completely resonates with me. it’s funny though, because while we sit around and wish and complain life goes on around us. Every morning I wake up, happy to meet the sun and the new challenges ahead a of me. I know there will be challenges, but I know like all of them, I will get through them, and I will learn something from them.

    1. Kalley,
Me too – just enjoying getting up – being with God before I start my day. Knowing that He will be with me the whole time.
      Blessings,
      Janis

  4. Dear Janis
I cannot agree more. Let us dance this dance called Life, in the arms of our Beloved on the great beat of the song called Grace!
    Much love XX
    Mia

I love to connect with you.
