Power of Prayer

Power of Prayer

Make-a-Prayer-of-it

The holidays. They come with extra stuff and people. My daughter sacrificed her comfortable room and bed to give her sister, brother in-law and niece a place to find some privacy while they stayed with us to celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

After the festivities where over and my daughter could again return to her room, she began taking stock—she couldn’t find her purse. A desperate search ensued. She couldn’t find it.

We went over all the places she’d looked and the measures she’d taken to locate the purse.

“Have you tried praying?” I asked.

She hung her head and sighed. “No.”

A prayer was said and within a minute the purse was located.

Sometimes we forget that God cares for us, even the smaller details. I think the next time something goes missing, my daughter’s first action will be to say a prayer and call on her Heavenly Father’s help.

  1. So true. God is concerned about every aspect of our lives. I am the queen of misplacing things and so I have found that at the point I become frustrated I just say, “Lord let the item find me.” Without fail the item is located. God is awesome in ALL things.

I love to connect with you.
