Sunday Stillness – 1 Corinthians 3:7

Reading this passage from 1 Corinthians I am reminded – that just as God makes the plants, and flowers grow – so too He is the one who makes me grow. One may plant and another water BUT it is God who does the growing.
“It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building” (1 Corinthians 3:7-9, NLT).
Looking forward to spring, seeing the new growth and new life all around me and in me.

I love the idea that God is the one making us grow. So true! I can rest in Him and not try to make MYSELF grow.

We try way too hard to “grow” ourselves. We need to study, read and watch but God only makes us grow.

Daffodils are such hopeful flowers (especially on this snowy, windy day here in Nebraska!).

Oh for sure they are. We live in Canada for 1/2 the year. When we return to our home town we get to see the daffodils arise once again. I had never seen them in Arizona before – so it was quite a treat to find them the other day.
