Thoughtful Tuesdays – How to change my plan to His plan

I have been mulling over my Word for 2015 – Intentional. I know I have to get over the procrastination part of me and the scattered plans and change. However, there is one thing that remains the focus of all that I will not give up – that’s:

to be Intentional to listen to God.

change And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28, NIV).

And as I listen my plans may change – because I must be ready to change:

my plan and follow His plan.

Readings from Oswald Chambers on December 18th:

It is only a faithful person who believes that God sovereignly controls his circumstances.

Being faithful to Jesus Christ is the most difficult thing we try to do today.

The goal of faithfulness is not that we will do the work for God, but that He will be free to do His work through us (Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, Dec 18).

The working words here are “free to do His work”.

And from Romans 8:31:

If our God is for us who can be against us.

I know that everyone at this time of year is not ready to be merry and bright and I want to be sensitive to that issue.

But I do believe we all can have a Blessed Christmas if we focus on the One who saved us. Let’s focus on the JOY of the LORD.

So to all my friends, have a Blessed Christmas.

Although I plan to be intentional I must remember that I must keep myself free to follow Jesus. (click to tweet)
