Five Minute Friday – Beloved

Beloved
The first words that come into my head when I think of beloved are the words of God about His Son, Jesus:
“And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17, NIV).
Then I think of my family and they are my Beloved Family in whom I am well pleased.
My husband who always nurtures me, protects, calms me, encourages me – that is how he shows His love and I love him so much.
My kids who are all grown up with families of their own. I am so happy that they can stand on their own and with their spouses stand firm in the love they have for each other. I can see their caring natures, their discipline in their lives and teaching of their children, their work ethic – and their caring for their friends and co-workers. I know how much they love my hubby and myself and how I can count on any one of them at a moment’s notice.
My grandkids who I dearly love and miss since I am away in Arizona. I love their hugs, their snuggles, and their sweetness. I love their enthusiasm, their excitement and their exuberance for life.
Yes I love them all – deeply, and I thank God I am having the pleasure of watching them grow.
Yes I am well pleased. Thank you Lord.

Dear Janis
As I was reading of your love for your dear family, I thought that if we love our families so much, how much more does our Pappa God love His children, especially those who are still wandering far away from His home!
Much love, dear one.
Mia
Mia,
Oh yes and those families who have loved ones who are separated from them – either physically, spiritually or emotionally – God cries for them too.
Thanks,
Blessings,
