Sunday Stillness – What type of glue are you using?

Sunday Stillness – What type of glue are you using?

Sarah Young Sept 2

From Jesus Calling – September 2:

Living in dependence on Me is a glorious adventure. Most people scurry around busily, trying to accomplish things in their own strength and ability. Some succeed enormously; others fail miserably. Both groups miss what life is meant to be: living and working in collaboration with Me (Jesus Calling, Sarah Young, September 2).

I read from Acts 17:28 in the NCV.

We live in Him. We walk in Him. We are in Him ( I found this in my own Bible, The Answer, New Century Version – but I can’t find these exact words on the Internet).

and from The Message:

I had to ask myself.

Am I really living in collaboration with Jesus?

I thought back to when I felt Him the most this summer. I have to say it happened during VBS – I got sick and relied on Him totally to feel joy, peace and actually have strength to continue.

Right now I am counting on Him again as I fight a sinus/ear problem that gives me a sound like a heartbeat in my head. I am learning to pray to be able to concentrate.

But it is also in everything I do – I try to be part of His plan. I love the word “collaborate”.

Definition of Collaborate:

work jointly on an activity, especially to produce or create something.

One synonym is glue yourself to.

That one stopped me –

What type of glue am I using? What type of glue are you using? (please tweet this)

Let’s discuss this, heere in the comments; on Facebook Author Janis Cox or Twitter Author Janis Cox. Let’s talk about the type of glue we can use to be stuck to Jesus.

Today is Sunday Stillness.

And I would add that one way we collaborate best with Jesus is in harmony and teamwork with fellow-believers, Janis. I bet that was part of what helped to encourage you during that week of VBS. Thanks for always encouraging us to focus on Christ, my friend!

      Beth,
Wonderful idea – as we stay connected to one another we encourage one another to keep the glue sticking. collaborate – with other believers – to remain stuck.
      Blessings,
      Janis

I feel like I’m being held together by His spirit. Jesus promised His disciples the Holy Spirit to Comfort us and direct us. I feel like I’m being held by the blood of Jesus. I’m forgiving and therefore I’m free from condemnation. I can live because He lives in me and unconditionally loves me. Great thought provoking question Janis.

Yes, so often I am made aware that not only is God holding “all things together by the word of His power,” but that He is holding ME together for that moment.
    Blessings, Janis, and Happy Sunday!

Yes He certainly says that Rose – but I wonder if we need to be more active in remembering how to stay stuck. What things can we do – to do that?
      Blessings,
      Janis
