Creative Tuesdays – Fairy Tale Tree

Creative Tuesdays – Fairy Tale Tree

Fantasy-Tree

This week at Creative Tuesdays the prompt was as follows: A Fairy Tale Tree.

I didn’t paint this picture in the past two weeks. Instead I am giving you a glimpse of one of the watercolour paintings in my new fantasy story that has a working title of Yoj and the Land of Thrim.

In this story Yoj desires more than God has planned for his life. He makes a decision that will cost him his peace and joy.

Stay tuned and you will learn more as my production of this book proceeds.

  1. This is gorgeous Janis. I love the perspective and the colours are just magical. A truly lovely painting.

Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog, I was a little taken aback by the positive and thoughtful responses I had from everyone.

  2. Hmm…interesting title for your book, Janis with this delightful angle for the trees–almost like a nautical wheel. Was that deliberate? This angle looking up makes me wonder what this might be about..looking up perhaps? Maybe I’m all wrong here, lol, as with the title which if spelled backwards in spots would be “Joy and the Land of Mirth” That’s cool too. Both titles. πŸ™‚

Thank you for playing along, Janice. Next them won;t be so esoteric so will be interesting to see how we all interpret it.

  3. I like the perspective of looking up at trees and the colors are just perfect with the sun and sunlights.

hope you have a lovely day.

  4. Hi Janis, I love the sun breaking through the limbs on your beautiful tree. And thank you for sharing that you’re working on a new fantasy story. The title definitely sounds like a fantasy story and the blurb entices me to want to know more. Don’t forget to link up on Michael’s CT. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Tracy,
I imagined it when we visited the Cathedral Forest on Vancouver Island – it was an inspiring time looking up at those trees – so old – so close to God. When I wanted to show colour and inspiration this is what came to me.
      Blessings,
      Janis

I love to connect with you.
