I am finding it encouraging to paint pictures and write Haiku
I love writing Haiku because my thoughts are short but go right to the heart of the matter.
My paintings are becoming looser as I let God help me relax and let the paint flow.
I have heard many people say they can’t paint but I love this quote:
“If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.”
― Vincent Willem van Gogh
Thrive
To write and to paint
Both help my life to flourish
No striving — living
Here are 5 paintings with Haiku
Hunger
Its flight path straight
The hummingbird heads with speed
Sweet nectar awaits
Freedom
Light and fanciful
Bobbing along and carefree
Delightful seahorse
Alone
Orchid, strong perfect
Simplicity of design
Noble creation
Bloom
Arose from a hub
A cactus flower springs forth
Spring in the desert
Smile
Golden beauty glows
Nods its head to the daylight
A smiling sunflower
Love this, Janis, especially the hummingbird and the sunflowers
