FIVE MINUTE FRIDAYS – Here

Five Minute Fridays – HERE

We live in two worlds – Arizona and Haliburton. When we arrive in each locale we state, “We are here”.

I can tell you I am here. We are home – back in Ontario, Canada. On the way home we had a lovely time at with our grandchildren; we were able to pop in and see our daughter and new baby, as well as a surprise visit from another grandchild.

We had no problem getting the water started in our home. We have a pump and drain all our lines in the fall. Thank You, Lord. Everything has gone very well – except the weather.

Yes, we have the rain, snow, sleet, ice and wind. A welcome home gift. But we did get out to walk our little Snowball around the driveway and down to our mailbox.

But we are home and I know that I like living here (when I am here). And I like living in Arizona (when I am there). Do you know what I mean?

If you can be content wherever you are, that’s a good thing. And to live in the moment, not thinking of the past or worrying about tomorrow.

“for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances” (Philippians 4:11, NIV).

Here we are. And it is lovely.

I love the passage in Esther:

” And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14, NIV)?

I believe I am here because God wants me here – and I plan to keep watching and looking where He is working and following Him.

Glad to be back blogging again too.

Time’s up. What do you think of when you think of the word HERE?

1. Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in {you can grab the button code in my blog footer}
3. Go leave some comment props for the five minute artist who linked up before you {and if you love us, consider turning off word verification for the day to make it easier for folks to say howdy}

It’s a great way to catch your breath at the end of a long week.

  1. I love the verse in Esther too. Our ladies bible study quote it often to one another whenever we find ourselves in an overwhelming situation. Then we are reminded of how He used and provided for Esther and He will do the same for us.

    1. Holly,
      So nice to meet you. Yes I like those verses too – we are here where He wants us. Right. I guess the snow would be fun but I can’t get warm. But I did throw some snowballs for my dog this morning. She loved to chase them.
      Blessings,
      Janis

I love to connect with you.
