Voice – Five-Minute Fridays
I find it curious that Lisa-Jo picked the word VOICE. I had written this week a post called What Comes Out of Your Mouth? for Under the Cover of Prayer.
My voice? – I am hoping and praying my voice now is softer, kinder and filled with positive words. It didn’t use to be that way.
I would let my feelings come out in my voice – especially around family members. I didn’t tone it down. I just let it fly. It wasn’t pretty!
My change started to happen 12 years ago. I met some fabulous faith-filled women who led me to trusting in Christ. I did – and Christ changed me.
How I speak is uppermost in my mind most of the day. The only time I might fall down would be when I am tired. When I am tired I can get really grumpy. Little things bug me and I can’t seem to cope well.
Watching my voice – an important part of my day. God ministered to my voice. He showed me to watch it at all times. ALL TIMES. That is a tall order. I am trying.
How is your voice? Do you speak from a Christ-centred voice?
“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14 NIV).
TIME IS UP – My Five-Minute Friday is done. Join us and write your own thoughts on the word “voice”. Or please leave me a message below. Click on Five-Minute Fridays to go to Lisa-Jo’s blog.
Amazing post.
Sue, I like your heading … Unfinished Child. Wonderful. We are all unfinished but growing.
Taking the softer route.
Blessings,
Jan
Janis,
How common our “voices” are ; ) Mine too has to be taught to be temperate and a bit quieter. Thanks for sharing about your voice, and for participating in FMF… I’ve been enjoying the encouragement from Lisa Jo. Have a great day!
