Wednesday’s Word – Today
As I decided on my WORD for 2013 – LIVE, I thought it would be good to find one word a week that comes from God’s word to take me through the week. Today – that is today’s word.
The song that has been flowing through my head, beside my tap dancing songs, is This is the Day. When I went go to Poland on mission trips we sing this song in English and Polish.
Reminder of the words:
This is the day that the Lord has madeLet us rejoice and be glad in it.
What is important about today? – answer: living it.
Are you totally living in each moment of today? Or are you thinking of tomorrow? Or yesterday? Are you upset about something that happened and rehash it over and over – forgetting that it is in the past and THIS IS THE DAY.
“Rehearsing your troubles results is experiencing them many times, whereas you are meant to go through them only WHEN they actually occur. Do not multiply your suffering in this way” ~Sarah Young – Jesus Calling.
So what do we do when all those things come rattling into our minds?
We listen to Jesus.
He said:
“My yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:30 NIV).
and
“I will never leave you or forsake you” (Joshua 1:5 NIV).
Read His Word and He will fill you up.
He can be your peace in anything.
I would love to hear your comments and please link to your post if you have heard something from God today.

Yes, to listen to Him, to live the day He’s given us, to rejoice and be glad in it! So many good thoughts here! Thank you for sharing!!!
Mary,

Janis
