Creative Saturdays – Tadeo Turtle with Paper and Glue
Today I used very simple materials to create an interesting picture.
Materials
- Scrapbook papers
- Glue (I used Mod Podge)
- Scissors
- Paper (I used watercolour paper)
- A permanent marker
Instructions
Decide on your subject. I decided to create Tadeo in a background of bushes and water.
Cut up the paper into squares, triangles, odd shapes. I used the long rectangles for trees, bushes; a long piece for the log, and the small pieces for the water.
Draw an outline of where you object will be. If I were to do this again I would start with the background and then put my turtle on at the end. But I didn’t so I worked the background around the turtle.
Put the glue on the paper in the area you will be working. Place the paper and cover with glue. Continue on for each piece.
My fingers did get quite sticky with the glue but it was so much fun.
Here is the picture before I added some details with the black marker.
Here is the final picture.
