PERSPECTIVE – Five Minute Fridays

Perspective

Is it empty or full? – Perspective

How do I see things? Mmm Well I know that I see them much differently that I did ten years ago.

My spiritual growth has extended. My fear factor has been reduced. I trust more. I love more. I listen more. I give more. I enjoy more.

Why? Because I pray more and listen to God. It hasn’t been easy – to give up ME and give my concerns to God. But it has helped and been very good for me.

I get excited talking about God. I get excited writing about him. I get excited teaching about Him.

I know that my perspective on life – is different. I see this life as much smaller and my eternal life as much bigger. I see troubles as much smaller and the joy of life with God much larger.

I like reading Oswald Chambers. He puts such a wonderful slant on things that I can see the truth easier. What I read this week has become my new perspective:

“May God not find the whine in us anymore, but may He find us full of spiritual pluck and athleticism ready to face anything He brings” (May 15).

When I first thought of the word “perspective” I thought of my art work. I had a terrible time seeing corners in my painting. But through trial and error and lots of practice I am seeing them better. I think it is the same in life. The more I study and work at understanding God – the clearer the truth becomes.

Time is up. What do you think of the word PERSPECTIVE?

If you want to join The Gypsy Mama in her Five Minute Fridays read below.

Here are the rules:

Around here we write for five minutes flat on Fridays.

We write because we love words and the relief it is to just write them without worrying if they’re just right or not. So we take five minutes on Friday and write like we used to run when we were kids.

On Fridays we write like we believe we can fly. Won’t you join us? (<—Tweet this!)

  1. Jan,I can relate to your spirtual growth over the years. How good it is to hide behind the cross, instead of thinking “ME” I find the more I focus on Jesus, the more I am blessed.

    1. Are we hiding behind it or holding it aloft – in praise and worship. Great is our Lord? I like kicking ME behind me and looking up instead. You are right – focusing on Jesus – we are mightily blessed.
      Blessings,
      Jan

I love to connect with you.
