What is a Weary Prayer?
by Tanya
You know the ones in which you just lay there and just sigh because you don’t know what else to say.
I’ve had those types of prayers.
And when I have those prayers I am assured by this promise in God’s Word.
“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words” (Romans 8:26, NASB).
Be assured today, that even when you feel
like you can’t pray anymore, God’s Spirit is praying for you. (tweet this)
Tanya – from God’s Character
Tanya is a child of God, wife, stay at home mom and homeschooler. She loves the Lord and loves telling people about who He is. By God’s grace her husband and she intend to live out Joshua’s statement “but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”. And so her greatest desire is to see her Lord face to face and along with her family, join in the joyous strains of triumphant voices praising our Lord and King. Tanya, I liked your post. So often I don’t acknowledge how weary I often get when praying for the same people year after year. Thanks for the reminder that God always hears!
Rose, not acknowledging how weary I was when I praying lead me turn to those shallow, formal prayers. Maybe I should post about this next time hmmmm.
