Creative Saturdays – Stained Glass Watercolour Tadeo Turtle
Played a lot tonight with a my new watercolour pencils. I showed my watercolour crayons to my grandchildren on our holiday – they loved them. Here are a few pictures.
So today I thought I would try a stained glass type of painting. I tried different ways but it really doesn’t matter how your child does the lines, as long as they get lines and spaces to colour.
First I tried with making the lines and then putting in the head, legs and tail.
Then I tried drawing the turtle and putting the lines from each of the appendages. Either way gives wonderful spaces to colour.
I painted with my watercolour pencils, and with watercolour. I liked both. I would have liked to try the watercolour crayons but ran out of time.
Don’t forget to send me your child’s pictures. Send them to Janis Cox and I will put them up in the Children’s Gallery.
Please check out more about my book Tadeo Turtle on Tadeo’s Page. You will find more activities at the back of my book. And a 24-page curriculum is available if you ask.
Looks like everyone had a great time with the stained glass Tadeo Turtle! Fun! 🙂
Thanks for visiting! What fun projects you have! Will be looking forward to stopping by again! And thank you for introducting Tadeo to us! 🙂
