Is God in a Hurry?

One day as I took time to listen to God, this is what I heard!

I do things slowly.

When you look at an oak tree,
know it takes years to mature,
yet when it is fully grown, many people will enjoy its shade,
birds will build their nests in its branches,
and squirrels will gather its acorns for their winter food.

Moses was eighty years old before he was requested
to lead the children of Israel.

When you walk and work with Me, it is not speed that is important
but it is learning to know what I want you to do – in the moment.

In today’s journey, enjoy my sunshine,
and I will arrange your life to flow together without tension or worry.

Watch how projects can be done graciously, without hurry or frustration.

You have seen beautiful, peaceful rivers running through mountain valleys
bringing necessary water to the lush farms along their banks.

I came to bring living water to you and to those whose lives you touch.
