MISSED BLESSINGS

Missed Blessings

by T. L. Wiens

A friend of mine told me that she welcomed September in the grips of a depression wave. It tossed her this way and that before she realized, this wasn’t something she could fight alone. Soon after confiding in a close friend, the battle began to turn and my friend felt better. I’m glad she went to someone and that the someone she went to prayed. It made all the difference.

Why do we wait so long to ask for prayer? I know I often will struggle without success alone for days, weeks and even years without asking for help. What gets in the way? Sometimes pride, other times the feeling that my problem is trivial in comparison to others becomes the stumbling block.

Let’s love each other and share our burdens so we can pray for each other and all be blessed.

“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith  (2Thessalonians 3:1-2.)
