Hi Mary,
Thank so much. Yes that deer staring at me from my backyard – I couldn’t keep my eyes off him; I took so many photos that day of the whole family. And I like the song too. We sing it back in Canada in my home church.
Blessings,
Janis
YEARS ago, I bought a t-shirt at a Christian shop that showed a dear at the brook and this verse was spread around. I wore it for a LONG time, then I wore it only to bed, b/c it was becoming too ratty looking [and my husband wouldn’t care] … finally, some time ago, I had to toss it away. It was too torn in too many places. [ACTUALLY, what just dawned on me, is it MIGHT be in the window box in my bedroom, in the bottom, and I might not have pulled it out. WELL, gotta check; if I have it, still, after nearly 25 years, I can always wear it when I’m working in the yard.] Can you tell I loved it and the Word? DID then, DO now.
I would love to know if you found the shirt. Maybe I need to have this printed on a shirt. That deer made quite an impression on me the morning I took that shot. I have about 20 pictures of him and his family as they nibbled my grass in the backyard.
Blessings,
Janis
How awesome! It looks like you were right beside that buck for that picture. I love the song that was made from that verse. Thanks for linking up with Scripture & a Snapshot.
Jennifer. The deer was in my backyard – not that far away – and I could love into his eyes. I love that buck. Do you mean, “As the deer panteth” or something like that? Great to meet you. I will be linking again.
Blessings,
Janis
So beautiful. This was one of my husband’s favourite choruses,

OOPS! Just noticed I misspelled deer by typing “dear”. Well, deer ARE dear to me. Oh, well…
That made my day. I have done that before too.

Love it! I have a very similar picture that I thought I’d pair with this verse sometime.
Would love to see your picture when you post it.
