Sunday Stillness – Faith – Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20, NIV).
My faith is growing. As I step out in prayer with more frequency I have seen the Hand of God. God tells us that nothing will be impossible when we step out in faith.
Join us at Under the Cover of Prayer as we discuss, discover and delve into the topic of prayer.
This past Friday I wrote a post called What is a Divine Appointment? discussing what God has been showing me when I pray for His timing. I need to be watching or I will miss it.
Tweetable:
If you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can say to the mountain, “move”. And it will move.
I hope you consider joining me in my new venture with a newsletter. I am taking a step of faith to do this.

I would appreciate if you would link only about God’s Word. If you have a linky party that’s okay if it is about the same thing. Please no sales or prizes. I want this to be friendly but I must ask you to abide by the rules. Others want to read God’s Word – and that is what I would like the links to be about. I must take down the links that don’t follow the rules. Thanks so much.

A little bit of faith goes a long way! When we take a step towards God, He meets us the rest of the way.
A lovely encouragement and blessing, Janis – God is able, not limited to the size of our faith!
Thanks Nina,
Blessings,
Janis
That’s even smaller than a peanut. I’m so glad that seeds tend to grow. 🙂
Happy Sunday, Janis.
Sandra,
It is really small – I thought of a peppercorn but that is even bigger. And it grows into an amazingly big tree.
Blessings,
Jania
Janis, what a beautiful visual. Faith – so small & yet can do the mightiest of things. My prayer is that He would grow my faith. Thank you for this today!
Joanne,
It does make us realize that we don’t need much – just a little and God will do the rest. I love that.
blessings,
Janis
Dear Janis
Oh, that kind of faith that receives everything everything from God’s grace ability, looks up to Jesus knowing that no mountain can exist if not for Him. The One living in me, is the Creator of the mountains!
Blessings XX
Mia
Mia,
You are right Mia God gives us such grace that we only need a little bit of faith and He can move mountains. Right the mountains are His so He can move them.
Blessings,
Janis
Blessings, Janis! So nice to hear from you at The Writer’s Reverie. I am spending a lot of time seeking a deeper understanding of what walking in the faith of a mustard seed is all about. – it is foundational to everything we set our hearts to be and do in this world. In Him. Thanks for the invite to link – I want to expand my reach!
Joy!
Kathy
Kathryn,
Exactly – deeper – into each Scripture and into each thought that God gives us. Obedience to His Word. Thanks for coming over.
Blessings,
Janis
Hi Janis,
Looks like we’re on the same page again this week, as my post is about faith too! Thanks for hosting & God bless,
Laurie
Laurie,
Isn’t it interesting how He can speak to us about the same thing. I love it. Thanks to you for linking and commenting,
Blessings
