Sunday Stillness – LISTEN

Sunday Stillness – LISTEN

LISTENThinking today of how much I don’t listen to God. How I get going with things and forget – oh yes Lord – what do you think? Then this acronym came to me. I loved the chairs I found at PicMonkey – just what I needed to sit and reflect on His Word.

Please read the wonderful blogs who have linked below.

You are welcome to link if you follow the rules.

Thank you to all my wonderful friends who are listening to God as He speaks.

Today is Sunday Stillness.

Do you have a Scripture that spoke to you this week? Please link below. If you post to Twitter use #sundaystillness and @authorjaniscox.

I would love it if you would subscribe to my blog. See the sidebar to enter your email address.

Read the Sunday Stillness rules if you are new here.

I would appreciate if you would link only about God’s Word. If you have a linky party that’s okay if it is about the same thing. Please no sales or prizes. I want this to be friendly but I must ask you to abide by the rules. Others want to read God’s Word – and that is what I would like the links to be about. I must take down the links that don’t follow the rules. Thanks so much.

What a peaceful picture! This also helped to pause and listen to all that the Lord wants me to hear from Him. Thanks for sharing this and for stopping over and commenting on my blog!

      Ann,
Thanks – I too need to remember to take time and listen to Him. We get so wound up in our own little world we forget that He is right here with us.
      Blessings,

      June,
Thank you – God certainly led me to the image – I loved it as soon as I saw it and it fit so well with the acronym.

What a terrific acronym, Janis! I need the reminder – too often I lose sight and the discipline to seek His will first. May I save a copy of your image for my personal prayer folder? I think I’ll need to refer to these statements often! Blessings to you!

      Carrie,
We all lose sight of that – and go off on our own. As soon as I return to the Source – we are blessed beyond measure. Certainly take a copy – these are to be shared.
      Blessings,
      Janis

We both have a beach theme in our post this week…something about it reveals and speaks of God doesn’t it? Blessings to you on this Sabbath day!

Good reminder to me. Especially because I have been building on and aiming to follow my own acronym, CLOSER, meaning growing and walking more closely with the Lord. And guess what the L stands for. 🙂

    Dear Janis,
Such a lovely reminder / LISTEN – I’ll print it to my calender and on the board!
Your Bible Study on Psalm 23 must be so rewarding … Are you doing it on a Group with others?
    Blessings to your Sunday,

Not sure about Psalm 23? We are learning this for the VBS this week – is that what you mean?

    Dear Janis
Just this week I was asking our Pappa what if I don’t hear when He talks to me and He assured me that He makes certain we hear Him when we need to listen! After all, He spoke the world into being.

      Oh Mia,
I know that feeling – but we sometimes put that barrier in place – with our thoughts. Let’s agree that He is listening and He does hear us, and that way we become stronger and Satan never gets a foothold.
      Blessings,
      Thanks for linking.
