What is Confident Prayer?

Have you ever read through the book of Ephesians? In Paul’s prayer to the Ephesians you can find a confident prayer.
It is a prayer we can learn to pray.
Let’s break it apart and learn how to use it in prayer for family, for friends, and for ourselves.
Read the entire passage in Ephesians 3:14-21. Try to read it in at least two versions. I used the NIV and The Message. But for this prayer I used NIV for everything except the last passage.
The Prayer
Get down on your knees.
For this reason I kneel before the Father.
Ask God to strengthen you by His Spirit – an inner strength so you and Jesus are united.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being.
With that love, ask for power to see the expanse of God’s love.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ
Ask God to fill you with His fullness and to reflect it in your life.
that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Praise God for all He did, is doing and will do.
to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
Know and believe that God can do anything – wilder than our wildest dreams and ask Him to continue His work in your, through the Holy Spirit.
him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine
Thank Him in the name of Jesus – the Name above all names. Thank You, Jesus. We pray this prayer in your Name. AMEN.
