LET HIM IN

Let Him In

by T. L. Wiens

A long long time ago
A Babe was born in Bethlehem
And the world didn’t know
What they had

Today a Saviour waits
For every soul to let Him in
But the World doesn’t know
What they have

These are the words of a song I wrote many years ago. I was in many ways a new believer at the time even though I grew up in a home that taught Christian values and always believed. This song came out of the time when I realized my personal need for Jesus Christ to be Saviour and Lord of my life.

As Christmas approaches, I find my prayers leaning more and more towards a sadness that here we have this incredible gift and most of our attentions are on the newest, latest gadget. Shopping baking and planning events seem to be the focus.

Matthew 17:20 says:

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Philippians 4:13 says:

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Now that is an incredible gift! And it can be yours. So I pray this Christmas as I do every Christmas that believers around the world will raise a loud cry of praise that Jesus came and was born of a virgin because without that baby there is no man. There is no “It is Finished.”
