Sunday Stillness – Psalm 139: 9-10

It is a good thing that God holds me fast in His Hand. Sometimes I have no idea which way I am going and He seems to be able to direct my path back to the straight and narrow road.
I do rise on the wings of the dawn – and glide here and there. But then He focuses me and says: Janis get this done, now. And boy does He know. I have worked ahead and He knew I needed to because I am heading back to Canada on Sunday to help my daughter. Thank You, Lord for Your foresight.
So here I am getting this done, because God helps me. He guides me to people with gorgeous pictures – Bill Weaver being one special one. I knew I wanted a soaring bird and Bill provided a beauty – an osprey. Exactly what I needed.
Do you know that God holds you fast in His Hand? (click to tweet)
I hope so. If not, please ask Him to show you Who He is. It is that simple.
Today is #SundayStillness.
Time to reflect on the week; to seek more Scriptures; to know Him more and more through His Son, Jesus. (click to tweet)
(yes you can use that # hashtag when you tweet your posts).

That would be great.
Read the Sunday Stillness rules if you are new here.
I would appreciate if you would link only about God’s Word. If you have a linky party that’s okay if it is about the same thing. Please no sales or prizes. I want this to be friendly but I must ask you to abide by the rules. Others want to read God’s Word – and that is what I would like the links to be about. I must take down the links that don’t follow the rules. Thanks so much.

Love the photo, the Word, and the way you share your words. And I need Him to hold me fast and safely in His hand forever.
Dear Janis, I hope your journey has been fine, and that all is well with your daughter. May your stay be blessed, and thank you for the encouragement – He will raise us up, time after time, letting us see the heights, and His perspective!
Dear Janis
It really as simple as that; to ask God to reveal Himself to you! We have made a monstrous complexity of this simplicity.
Blessings XX
Mia
Praying for you and your family today, Janis! May you bring comfort to your daughter, may your grandchild already be on the mend, and may your husband get along without you fine but miss you in the process 🙂
Oh Marty,
I am just heading to the airport in a couple of minutes. You made me laugh and smile today. I read this to hubby.
Blessings to you,
Janis
Resting in His hand that holds me. Such peace.
Blessings and prayers,
Janis
Amen Janis,
That’s the best we can do – and it always brings peace and comfort. We know He knows; we know He cares.
Blessings,
Janis
So grateful that His right hand holds me fast. Have a blessed Sunday!
Joanne,
Yes – me too.
Blessings,
Janis
This photo is so perfect for this Scripture, which has always been one of my favorite verses.. Praying for your trip and for your family.
God bless,
Laurie
Laurie,
I was thrilled when Bill sent me this photo – exactly what I needed and a spot for the words too.
Blessings,
Janis
Janis,
It seems we shared a common theme…learning to rest and be still. So glad I followed you at Still Saturday and made my way here to read your words. I am praying restoration over you, along with traveling mercies as you make your way north.
May God’s richest blessings pour out over you.
Peace and good to you in Jesus’ name
Chelle,
Yes – be still and know I am God – and thanking Him for holding fast to my hand.
blessings,
Janis
