Cancer – My Journey

Today I am sharing my walk with cancer. On Friday, October 2, 2021, I heard the doctor say, “This is not what I wanted to tell you, but, the biopsy showed cancerous cells.” To share my life I will be writing. Poetry is how it started. Today is an Abecedarian Poem.

I am back on my blog to do this sharing and trying to work with Block Editor. It seems WordPress will get rid of the Classic Editor by the end of the year. I guess I had better learn it.

This phone call shocked me, to be sure, but not as much as I thought it would. It has been caught very early. I have no idea of the treatment plan yet but learn in just over a week.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

(2 Corinthians 3:17)

My first poem is below.

My Journey With Cancer

Another day
Between me and
Cancer

Death doesn’t frighten me
Even though it’s always there

Freedom in Jesus

God I seek
Heaven is real

Into new adventures
Jesus at my side
Keeps me calm
Loves continually
Makes me strong

Questions abound
Rest is essential
Safety in love
Teaching me to trust
Understanding His Word

Voice of God
Walk with Him
eXpectingYour Presence, Lord, this is not the
Zed (end)
