Wraparound Presence

What a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. As I had time yesterday to look through my journals, I realized I had written a few other poems before I wrote the Abecedarian on October 5. Today’s is called Wraparound Presence.

I’ll be sharing my poetry here on my blog as I read God’s Word and He sustains me and teaches me.

Wrap-Around God

“God, your wraparound presence is my shield.
You bring victory to all who are pure in heart.” (Psalm 7:10, TPT)

I feel your presence
You sustain me

The word “cancer”
Is frightening

It makes everything
Stop

But then I realize
It makes everything
Go

I know You are leading me
To new discoveries

Opening my heart to love
To know
Your love

Being still in Your arms
I can feel the beat of my heart
I can feel the breath in my lungs

You sustain me
I feel Your
Wraparound presence
You will give me strength

We are on this cancer journey
Together

For he alone is my safe place
His wraparound presence always protects me
as my champion defender.
There’s no risk of failure with God!
So why would I let worry paralyze me,
even when troubles multiply around me? (Psalm 26:6,TPT)
