Life Plan – Do you have one? Hope Stream Radio

This has been an interesting week. Lots happening. I have a new children’s book in the last stages before printing. The Kingdom of Thrim is coming. I have been focusing more on my life plan thanks to Michael Hyatt and Daniel Harkavy’s book, Living Forward.

The word that I chose to focus on for this year is ABOUND. From a Scripture found in 2 Corinthians 9:8.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things and at all times, you will abound in every good work.

I read the verse again in The Message:

God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything more than just ready to do what needs to be done.

That sounds like planning to me. A life plan. Ready for anything and everything. (click to tweet)

Think about that. We don’t know what the next moment will bring. We keep moving forward but need to be READY for anything and everything.

How?

I am on the launch team for a new book that came out yesterday called Living Forward. Michael Hyatt and Daniel Harkavy are the authors.

This book fits in well with my word ABOUND. The book walks us through a plan to take a close look at our lives and plan forward. I believe by prayer and planning we can accomplish more than we ever believed possible.

God has a plan and purpose for each life. We need to take the time to look at our lives and listen to God how we can move forward in that plan.

Listen to Psalm 90:12

Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12 says TEACH us. That means listening and planning. A life plan. (click to tweet)

Jeanne Whittaker, is the founder of The Tabernacle Experience, This is a travelling exhibit to explain and show the Tabernacle from time of Moses right through to resurrection of Jesus. Jeanne heard God’s call. She didn’t only hear it – she acted on it. It was a big undertaking. But God is the God of the impossible.

Life Plan Tabernacle Came Alive

Our own story is similar. My husband read an article in an Arizonan paper about a charity that helped single parents further their education past high school. He felt God’s call. In our small town, a year later, we started HASP – Haliburton Assistance for Single Parents. Our first client is set to graduate this spring.

Our world expands when God is in control. (click to tweet)

Have you found the purpose for your life?

Thomas Carlyle said:

The man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder.

The book Living Forward has three aims:

  1. It will heighten your senses of what’s truly possible for you in life.
  2. It will equip you to make better decisions in your life.
  3. It will position you to make the most significant contribution in this world that you can add the most value to those around you.

God wants us to be ready for anything and everything. I believe a Life Plan is necessary to accomplish this.

Whether you look at this book or not, we all need to look at our lives.

What is your life plan? I plan to be in prayer about this very thing.

May I pray for you and me?

Lord, you have a purpose for our lives. We seek you to help us see where we’ve been, where we are and how you want us to live forward. We want to be ready for life – whatever happens. Help us to be full of Your Spirit so we can abound in every good work.

Until next time, seek God and specifically ask Him to show you His purpose and plan for Your life.

Remember the verse from Colossians 1:17

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
