Sunday Stillness – Isaiah 40:8
As we head into the end of summer I look at the beautiful wildflowers. Striking in colours, variety and shape they show the imagination of our Creator God. But as we know they must end their lives to begin again next spring.
So too we will come to an end of this life. But we have a choice during this life to live anew with Christ. We can blossom and flourish under our Lord’s care and provision – a new life on earth – and then when we die from this earth we too will begin a new life with our Lord in Heaven.
God’s Word continues on through generations and generations – enduring forever. Let’s pray that we can spread this wonderful news of rebirth.
I will be going on a blogging holiday next week. We are cottaging with our whole family. I will post another Sunday Stillness but continuing from this week. Thanks to the wonderful posters. I really appreciate you.
Blessings,
Janis

I would love it if you would subscribe to my blog. See the sidebar to enter your email address.
Read the Sunday Stillness rules if you are new here.
I would appreciate if you would link only about God’s Word. If you have a linky party that’s okay if it is about the same thing. Please no sales or prizes. I want this to be friendly but I must ask you to abide by the rules. Others want to read God’s Word – and that is what I would like the links to be about. I must take down the links that don’t follow the rules. Thanks so much.

All Scripture is perfect and this verse is one to cling to in times of trial and sorrow. Thank you, Janis, for this beautiful verse today.
Dear Janis
As I was reading your words, I thought of all the seasons our lives go through. Although we would love to have summer forever in our hearts, only the winters makes us draw deep into the soil of Jesus’ life to find nourishment and new growth! Enjoy your week with your family and I pray that our Pappa will bless you all.
Much love XX
Mia

I feel so giddy to know I can be renewed where I stand! To know the power of the Holy Spirit dwells within me is such an awesome gift! Now my opportunity is to disciple my children and prepare that generation. Have a wonderful holiday with your family, Janis!
